During a brawl at a private school in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a Class 4 kid was allegedly hit 108 times by three of his classmates using a geometry compass, an official said on Monday.
The official stated that the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has requested the police investigation report in light of the occurrence.
During a brawl at a private school inside the boundaries of the Aerodrome police station on November 24, the youngster was allegedly attacked 108 times by his classmates using a geometry compass, according to CWC Chairperson Pallavi Porwal.
‘The case is shocking. We have sought an investigation report from the police to find out the reason for the violent behaviour of children of such a young age,’ she said.
According to Porwal, the CWC will provide youngsters and their families with counseling over the occurrence and inquire as to whether the kids play violent video games.
The victim’s father claimed that the incident, which happened at the school on November 24 at around 2:00 pm, left the youngster with scars.
‘My son narrated the ordeal when he returned home. I still do not know why he was treated so violently by his classmates. The school management is not providing me the CCTV footage of the classroom,’ he said.
He claimed that the Aerodrome police station had received a complaint on the event.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Singh Chauhan, the victim was examined by a doctor following the filing of the complaint.
According to him, all of the youngsters involved in the incident are younger than ten years old, and the necessary actions are being taken in accordance with the law.
