Several districts in Marathwada experienced unexpected rainfall, with Jalna registering the highest at 132.25 mm, according to an official report on Monday. Unseasonal showers affected 107 revenue circles in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, and Beed on Sunday. The Wagrul revenue circle in Badnapur tehsil, Jalna, recorded the highest rainfall of 132.25 mm. Unfortunately, a preliminary report indicated one fatality in a rain-related incident in Hingoli, and 32 livestock casualties were reported. Rainfall above 65 mm was observed in 32 circles in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 27 in Jalna, 23 in Parbhani, 12 each in Nanded and Hingoli, and one in Beed from Sunday evening to 8 am on Monday. The unseasonal rains have brought both benefits and challenges to the region, impacting agriculture and causing localized incidents.
