6-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped In Kerala For Rs 10 Lakh Ransom; search going on

Expressing deep concern over the abduction of a six-year-old girl in Pooyappally, southern Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed the state police to intensify their investigation. Following the incident, Vijayan directed the state police chief to ensure a thorough and prompt inquiry. He also urged the public to refrain from spreading false information about the incident and assured that the police are actively searching for the girl.

Amid the ongoing investigation, reports emerged that the parents received another ransom call from the kidnappers. According to audio recordings, the kidnappers claimed the girl is safe and unharmed, promising her return on Wednesday morning upon payment of Rs 10 lakh. The parents were cautioned against involving the police. Prior to this call, a ransom demand of Rs 5 lakh had been made a few hours after the kidnapping. As the news unfolded, a dramatic turn occurred when the mother received a call, initially raising hopes of the child being found. However, it turned out to be another ransom call demanding Rs 5 lakh for the girl’s safe return.

Police have intensified their search, checking vehicles on major and minor roads in the southern districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Thiruvananthapuram. The suspected kidnappers, believed to be four in number, including a woman, used a white car during the abduction. The girl was taken while going for tuition classes with her eight-year-old brother, who suffered injuries while attempting to stop the abductors. CCTV footage is being analyzed, and the vehicle used is suspected to be a white sedan, possibly a Honda Amaze or Swift Dzire. The incident occurred between 4 pm and 4.30 pm. The parents, both nurses in private hospitals, are anxiously awaiting the safe return of their daughter.
