The office of Transport Minister Antony Raju received a letter on Monday containing a threat to bomb the venues of the Nava Kerala Sadas and to plant an explosive device on the special bus carrying the chief minister and other ministers. The minister’s office promptly handed over the threatening postcard to the state police chief for investigation. According to the postcard, three venues of the state government’s public outreach program, Nava Kerala Sadas, were targeted for bomb planting. Additionally, the letter mentioned a threat of a suicide bomber running into the special bus.
The Nava Kerala Sadas, currently in its tenth day, is conducting its activities in the Malappuram district. The program has previously covered four districts, including Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, and Malappuram. The threat has raised concerns about the security of the ongoing public outreach program, prompting swift action from authorities to address and investigate the potential danger.
