Indian Railways extends service of this Vande Bharat Express train: Details

New Delhi: The Railway Board has approved the extension of the Vande Bharat Express from Delhi to Chandigarh. The train will now run from Ajmer to Chandigarh via Jaipur.  The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Ajmer at 6:55 AM and arrive in Chandigarh at 2:45 PM.

Earlier, the national transporter changed the schedule of Vande Bharat Express train from New Delhi to Amb Andaura. It connects the states of New Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.The train stops at Una Himachal, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Ambala Cantt Junction. Now the train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday. Earlier it did not run on Fridays. It cover a distance of 412 km in 5 hours and 15 minutes.

Earlier, the national transporter changed the schedule of the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express.The train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will run 6 days in a week in both the directions except Wednesday.  This new timetable will be effective from March 21, 2024. Currently, the train runs on all days of the week except Tuesday.
