New Delhi: India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has decided to increase the price of its vehicles. The brand will increase vehicle prices in January 2024. The company cited cost pressure driven by the overall inflationary environment and increased commodity rates as the reason for this hike . The company did not specify the quantum of the proposed price hike.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) had last hiked prices by 0.8% in April this year. It had hiked a total increase of 2.4% in the last fiscal.

Earlier, German luxury carmaker Audi said it will hike prices of its vehicles in India by up to 2%t from January next year, citing rising input and operational costs. The price hike will be effective from January 1, 2024, and will be across the model range.
