The nephew of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, the Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode, died away in Pakistan on December 2, according to authorities. It was reported that Rode had a heart attack.
According to sources, Rode’s final ceremonies were carried out in secrecy in Pakistan in accordance with Sikh traditions and customs.
Former head of the Khalistan movement was Bhindranwale. Signals from Pakistan’s secret agency ISI indicate that Lakhbir Singh Rode was involved in terrorist actions against India in Punjab at the direction of ISI.
After an anti-terror agency raid, Rode’s possessions were seized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in October.
The raids were place in Punjab’s Moga. As it was looking into six cases against Rode for his active participation in terror-related activities between 2021 and 2023, the anti-terror agency took action.
Rode was the leader of the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF), an organization that was banned. The government had labeled Rode a terrorist.
