The Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK) has once again enforced a ban on actor-director-scriptwriter Renji Panicker, declaring non-cooperation with his upcoming projects. This decision stems from a production and distribution company linked to Panicker failing to settle arrears owed to theatre owners. Consequently, his latest film, ‘A Renji Cinema,’ where he holds a significant role, will not be showcased in theaters.
This ban echoes a previous instance in April when FEUOK declared non-cooperation with any movies involving Renji Panicker, either as an actor or in other capacities. Despite this, the film ‘Section 306 IPC’ was released on April 8, defying the existing ban. The association’s decision highlights ongoing concerns about financial dealings within the industry and the need for resolution before collaboration can resume.
