Mumbai: Indian equity benchmark indices ended on a positive note on December 6. At close, BSE Sensex was up 357.59 points or 0.52% at 69,653.73. NSE Nifty settled at 20,937.70, up 82.60 points or 0.40%.
About 1659 shares advanced, 1592 shares declined, and 82 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers were Wipro, LTIMindtree, ITC, L&T and TCS. Top losers were were Adani Enterprises, Eicher Motors, Cipla, NTPC and UltraTech Cement.

Most of the sectors ended higher with capital goods, FMCG, Information Technology, oil & gas and power up 1-2%, while bank, healthcare down 0.5% each. BSE midcap and Smallcap indices ended marginally higher. The Indian Volatility Index (India VIX) closed up by 2.09 %.
