The Opposition bloc, Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), appears to have resolved internal conflicts as discussions are underway to determine a mutually convenient date for the coalition partners’ meeting, accommodating the schedules of top leaders. The scheduled Wednesday meeting, organized without consulting coalition partners, was canceled by the Congress. Instead, leaders from the alliance members’ parliamentary parties convened at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday evening. Notably, representatives from Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Shiv Sena-Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (SS-UBT) were not in attendance.
Kharge and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi presided over the meeting, as stated by Congress whip in Rajya Sabha Syed Naseer Hussain. He shared that various topics, including upcoming parliamentary bills and the government’s conduct, were discussed during the meeting.
