On Thursday, authorities disclosed that a newborn discovered lifeless in a Thiruvalla bathroom had been intentionally killed by its mother. The suspect, Neethu (21) from Mallappally, was apprehended, admitting to the police that she continuously poured water onto the infant’s face until its demise. Unmarried and residing in Chumathra, Neethu confessed that she gave birth at her residence last Friday. The postmortem report from Kottayam Medical College revealed that the baby succumbed to water entering its nostrils. Neethu further admitted that the child was fathered by her boyfriend, a Thrissur native.
