Revanth Reddy Scheduled for Swearing-In as Telangana CM Today

Anumula Revanth Reddy, the leader of the Congress legislature party, is poised to take the oath as the second Chief Minister of Telangana this Thursday, marking the party’s triumph in the recently concluded Assembly elections. The 56-year-old leader’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 1:04 PM at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. To oversee the preparations for the ceremony, including a visit to the venue, State Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari and DGP Ravi Gupta conducted a meeting with senior officials on Wednesday. Around one lakh people are anticipated to attend the event.

The ceremony is expected to witness the presence of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former AICC president Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and his deputy D K Shivakumar. Revanth Reddy, emphasizing the establishment of a ‘people’s government’ focused on democratic and transparent governance, openly invited people to attend the event. Reports suggest that Congress MLA-elect and CLP leader in the previous Assembly, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and a few others are likely to take the oath as deputy chief ministers.
