Vijayapura: A low-intensity earthquake measuring 3.1 magnitude on the Richter Scale struck Karnataka’s Vijayapura district on Friday. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicentre of the earthquake was at a latitude of 16.77 and a longitude of 75.87. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km. There is no immediate report of any damage or injuries.
Another earthquake of magnitude of 3.2 occurred in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu district Friday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.

Meanwhile, Chengalpattu along with Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram is expected to receive light rainfall, as per the daily weather bulletin released by Chennai’s Regional Meterological Centre today
