Mumbai: The Western Railway (WR) has decided to operate extra Mumbai Local Train services on December 10. The decision was taken to cater rush of passengers during the upcoming Vasai-Virar Marathon 2023.
The Western Railway will operate 2 special services, making stops at all stations between Churchgate and Virar.

Western Railway is also introducing winter special trains between Surat – Mahuva and Surat – Veraval.
SURAT – MAHUVA BI-WEEKLY SPECIAL [34 TRIPS]:
Starting from December 6, 2023, to January 31, 2024, Train No. 09111 Surat – Mahuva Bi-Weekly Special will depart from Surat every Wednesday & Friday at 22:00 hrs., reaching Mahuva at 09:10 hrs. the next day. The return journey, Train No. 09112 Mahuva – Surat Bi-Weekly Special, will depart from Mahuva every Thursday & Saturday at 13:15 hrs., arriving at Surat at 02:30 hrs. the next day.
These trains will stop at Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Gandhigram, Bavla, Dholka, Dhandhuka, Botad, Ningala, Dhola, Dhasa, Damnagar, Liliya Mota, Savarkundla, and Rajula Stations.
SURAT – VERAVAL WEEKLY SPECIAL [16 TRIPS]:
Beginning on December 11, 2023, to January 29, 2024, Train No. 09017 Surat – Veraval Special will depart from Surat every Monday at 19:30 hrs., reaching Veraval at 08:05 hrs. the next day. The return journey, Train No. 09018 Veraval – Surat Weekly Special, will depart from Veraval every Tuesday at 11:05 hrs., arriving at Surat at 23:45 hrs. the same day.
These trains will stop at Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Gondal, Jetalsar, Junagadh, Keshod, and Maliya Hatina Stations.
Travelers can choose from First AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second-Class Coaches on this special train. Bookings for Train No. 09111, 09017, 09018 are open at all PRS Counters and on the IRCTC website.
