Actress Natasha Rothwell, known for her role in “The White Lotus,” has offered a tantalizing glimpse into what viewers can expect from the upcoming third season of the show. Rothwell is the first cast member officially announced to return for the third season, and she recently shared some insights during the Los Angeles premiere of her film “Wonka.”
While at the premiere, Rothwell, who portrayed spa manager Belinda Lindsey in the first season of “The White Lotus,” revealed that she has read all the scripts for the upcoming season. Without giving away specific details, she expressed her excitement, stating, “I can’t say anything, but I will say it’s going to blow people’s minds. I gasped out loud no less than five times, and that was just reading them, so people are in for a treat.”
Although Rothwell couldn’t provide details about the filming start date, she did mention that it is scheduled for the next calendar year, signaling that production is set to begin soon.
In the first season, set in Hawaii, Rothwell’s character, Belinda Lindsey, faced deception from Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid, who made false promises of investing in Belinda’s business. For the third season, the show is set to move to Thailand, following the Sicily setting of the second season.
Apart from her involvement in “The White Lotus,” Natasha Rothwell also shared her experience working on “Wonka,” where she stars alongside Timothée Chalamet. Rothwell expressed her admiration for Gene Wilder, describing him as a comedy hero, and highlighted that the film serves as a prequel, allowing viewers to witness the DNA of Gene Wilder in Chalamet’s performance.
“Wonka” is set to hit theaters on Friday, and fans of Natasha Rothwell can look forward to her intriguing return to “The White Lotus” in its highly anticipated third season.
