New Delhi: The Indian Railways will operate a new Vande Bharat Express train from Varanasi to New Delhi. The service will start from December 17, 2023. The train will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Vande Bharat Express Train No. 22436 will leave New Delhi for Varanasi at 6:00 AM and will reach its destination by 2:00 PM, via Kanpur and Prayagraj. In return, it will depart from Varanasi at 3:00 PM and reach Delhi at 11:00 PM.
The national transporter is also planning to launch a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Amritsar and Katra to New Delhi. Similarly, Vande Bharat will be launched between Anand Vihar and Ayodhya and Varanasi and New Delhi.

Also the North Central Railways (NCR) zone will operate the saffron-coloured Vande Bharat Express with 11 coaches connecting Prayagraj with Agra. The service will begin from January 2024.The new Vande Bharat Express train will take four and a half hours to cover 447 km.
The new Vande Bharat Express train will have stoppages at Tundla, Etawah and Kanpur railway station. The ticket fare of the train has not been announced yet.
