Security breach at Parliament: UAPA case filed

Delhi Police has officially filed a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) concerning the breach of security at Parliament, according to officials on Thursday. The incident occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, where Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D breached security protocols by entering the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour. They released yellow gas and shouted slogans before being subdued by fellow Members of Parliament.

Simultaneously, two other individuals, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, disrupted the area outside Parliament by spraying colored gas from canisters and chanting “tanashahi nahi chalegi” (dictatorship will not prevail). Authorities reveal that the four perpetrators were part of a larger group of six individuals who had coordinated the planned breach. The case has been formally registered under relevant sections of the UAPA and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in connection with this security incident.
