Ingredients:
– 500g chicken, cleaned and cut into pieces
– 2 cups drumstick pieces
– 1 large onion, finely chopped
– 2 tomatoes, chopped
– 2 green chilies, chopped
– 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 cup yogurt
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1 teaspoon coriander powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
– Salt to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
– 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.
4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
5. Add chicken pieces and drumsticks. Mix with the masala and cook until the chicken is browned.
6. Whisk yogurt and add it to the chicken. Stir continuously to prevent curdling.
7. Add garam masala and mix well. Cover the pan and let it simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot with rice or naan.
