Doha: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced holidays for Qatar national Day. The apex bank informed that on occasion of Qatar National Day, two days of holiday will be observed from Sunday, December 17, 2023 to Monday, December 18, 2023.All financial institutions will resume work on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Earlier the Amiri Diwan in Qatar announced holiday for National Day. Residents will get two days of public holidays. The holidays will be observed from Sunday, December 17, 2023 to Monday, December 18, 2023. Employees will return to their official duties on December 19, 2023. The Qatar National Day is celebrated every year on December 18.

Qatar celebrates December 18 as National Day or Founder’s Day to mark the Qatar’s unification in 1878. The holiday was established by a decree issued by the then Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on 21st June 2007.
