A 32-year-old Indian citizen, Harishchandra Kumar Sudi, was apprehended in Nepal after authorities discovered the lifeless body of a newborn in his possession during a routine security check at a temple in Sarlahi district of Madhesh province. The plastic bag carried by Sudi, a resident of Bihar, contained the infant’s body, still connected to the placenta. Subsequently, the police initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of the Indian national. The recovered body was sent to the Provincial Hospital in Malangawa for postmortem examination.
In a separate incident, another Indian individual, 22-year-old Navauddin Chaudhary from Bihar, was taken into custody on the outskirts of Kathmandu for the illegal possession of prohibited red sandalwood. Chaudhary was apprehended along with 580 grams of red sandalwood during a security check on a passenger bus arriving in Kathmandu from Delhi on Saturday.
