The forest department in Wayanad successfully captured the man-eating tiger of Koodallur on Monday. Last week, the tiger had fatally attacked and partially consumed a dairy farmer named Prajeesh, aged 36. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while Prajeesh was gathering grass for his cattle in a farm field. The villagers, angered by the attack, had strongly urged the forest department to promptly eliminate the dangerous animal.
The tiger further heightened concerns by killing a cow just two days after Prajeesh’s tragic death. The targeted cow belonged to Vakayil Santhosh, another dairy farmer residing in Kalloorkunnu near Koodallur. The attack on Santhosh’s cow transpired in the early hours of Sunday.
