Marvel actor Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, during an altercation in March. Following the verdict, Marvel and Disney have dropped him from the MCU franchise. Majors, who portrayed Kang the Conqueror in Marvel films, including “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” is now facing a potential jail sentence of up to a year. The jury found him guilty on all charges related to the assault.
Grace Jabbari accused Majors of assaulting her during an incident in March, leaving her with a fractured finger, bruising, a cut behind her ear, and “excruciating” pain. The altercation reportedly occurred when Grace discovered that Majors was cheating on her. The couple was returning from a party when Majors received a text message from another woman. As Grace attempted to read the text on his phone, Majors allegedly held her tightly, causing her pain.
Majors, who played a significant role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), made his debut in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” in 2023. He was initially set to appear in at least two subsequent Avengers films.
The actor, known for his roles in various major films such as “Creed III” and the TV series “Lovecraft Country,” is now awaiting sentencing, scheduled for February 6. The guilty verdict and subsequent removal from the MCU franchise mark a significant development in Majors’ career, impacting his involvement in high-profile Marvel projects.
