PM Modi vows to elevate India to third-largest economic power in third term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reaffirming his commitment to position India as the world’s third-largest economic power during his third term, dismissed the Opposition’s call for a caste census. He asserted that the nation comprised only four castes: women, youth, deprived sections, and farmers. PM Modi emphasized that empowering these groups would propel India towards becoming a developed nation.

During his 43rd visit to Varanasi, where he has served as MP for nine years, PM Modi dedicated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore. He highlighted the interconnected development, stating, “When Kashi develops, UP develops, and when UP develops, the country develops.” Engaging in the rural leg of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Sevapuri block, the PM flagged off four trains, including the second Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to New Delhi.

Expressing regret over the historical neglect of Purvanchal, PM Modi, invoking the blessings of Mahadev, underscored his commitment to serving the people of eastern UP. He acknowledged the support of the people of Kashi, stating, “Behind Modi’s guarantee is the strength of my family of Kashi.” PM Modi highlighted a shift in the government’s approach, emphasizing outreach to the poor and instilling confidence in the people. He noted that beneficiaries of welfare schemes were confident of an improved living standard, and there was a collective belief that India would achieve developed nation status by 2047.
