Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Lok Sabha party leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have received invitations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The invitations were sent by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, but it is unlikely that the senior Congress leaders will attend the ceremony. Former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and H D Deve Gowda have also received invitations. The Trust aims to include individuals from various domains who have contributed significantly to the country’s honor.
Invitations were delivered individually to Kharge, Gandhi, and Chowdhury by a delegation associated with the Trust, with more invitations expected to be sent to other opposition leaders in the coming days. The Trust has created a Tent City in the new Teerthakshetrapuram, including facilities like tubewells, kitchen houses, and a hospital with ten beds. Around 4,000 saints from different sects have been invited to participate in the ceremony, and approximately 150 doctors from across the country will provide their services at the hospital during the event.
