Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 mystery could be solved in a ‘matter of days,’ claim experts

Experts claim that the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 could be solved within a “matter of days” if a new search is initiated. Aerospace expert Jean-Luc Marchand and pilot Patrick Blelly assert that a 10-day search, using new technology, could provide crucial insights into the ill-fated flight that vanished without a trace in 2014, 38 minutes after departing from Kuala Lumpur en route to Beijing.

During a lecture at the Royal Aeronautical Society, Marchand emphasized the need for a renewed search, stating, “It could be a quick thing. Until the wreckage of MH370 is found, nobody knows [what happened]. But, this is a plausible trajectory.” The experts called on Australia’s Transport Safety Authority, the Malaysian government, and exploration company Ocean Infinity to initiate a new search operation, believing that modern technology could swiftly solve the mystery.

Marchand and Blelly propose that the pilot intentionally depressurized the cabin and executed a controlled ditching away from the flight path, aiming to reduce debris and impede search efforts. They highlight the sudden change in direction in what they describe as a radar “no man’s land” outside Malaysian airspace. Marchand suggests that the hijacking was likely carried out by an experienced pilot, with a deliberate depressurization of the cabin and a soft control ditching to minimize debris.

Last year, Ocean Infinity expressed interest in restarting its search on a “no find, no fee” basis after extensively surveying portions of the Indian Ocean. Additionally, a new report recommended a fresh search off the Australian coast, pinpointing the potential location of the missing wreckage about 1560km west of Perth. The report, utilizing “groundbreaking” radio technology called weak signal propagation reporter (WSPR), claims to provide credible new evidence for the aircraft’s whereabouts. The researchers behind the report, Richard Godfrey, Dr. Hannes Coetzee, and Professor Simon Maskell, emphasize the significance of their findings based on WSPR technology developed over the past three years.
