Sharjah: Low-budget air carrier based in Sharjah, Air Arabia, has announced the launch of a new route. The airline will operate daily flights to Kabul in Afghanistan. The new route will commence on January 10, 2024 from Sharjah International Airport to Kabul International Airport.
The airline will deploy its Airbus A320 for the service. Flight G9 718 will depart Sharjah at 04.25 and reach Kabul at 07.50. Return flight G9 719 will leave Kabul at 08.50 and arrive Sharjah at 12.05 (all times local).

Currently, the airline operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321, equipped with ‘SkyTime’, an in-flight streaming service. Additionally, passengers can choose from an extensive menu from the on-board ‘SkyCafe’ menu. Tickets for the new Kabul route are available on the Air Arabia website.
Last month flydubai, another low-cost airline based in Dubai, became the first international carrier to resume flights to Afghanistan. Apart from flydubai, Afghanistan’s Kam Air and Ariana Afghan Airlines currently operate limited services from Kabul to destinations including Dubai, Moscow, Islamabad and Istanbul.
