Mumbai: Chinese smartphone brand, Xiaomi has unveiled its electric car. The sedan is named SU7. The ‘SU’ stands for Speed Ultra and it will hit the roads in China in 2024. The car will be offered in two versions: the dual-motor all-wheel-drive SU7 Max and the single-motor rear-wheel-drive SU7.
The four-door electric sedan is 4,997 mm long, 1,963 mm wide, and up to 1,455 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. It features front headlamps inspired by McLaren supercars, wraparound taillights, and a sporty look with 19- and 20-inch wheels. The higher-end models boast an active rear wing and lidar sensors.
The entry-level model features a 73.6 kWh battery pack, while the top-tier model comes with a larger 101 kWh battery pack. Xiaomi introduces its CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology, seamlessly integrating the battery into the car..
The SU7 boasts an impressive range of up to 800 kilometers on a single charge, with a power output of 300 bhp for the base model and 650 bhp for the top variant. The vehicle offers a maximum torque of 635Nm. The base variant can reach a top speed of 210 kmph, while the higher variants can hit a thrilling 265 kmph.

The SU7 is equipped with Xiaomi’s own HyperOS, seamlessly connecting the car with the company’s array of gadgets. It has a16.1-inch 3K center screen, optional Xiaomi Pad tablets, and a powerful Dolby Atmos sound system.
