Two individuals were apprehended on Wednesday for a social media post that issued threats to bomb Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and detonate Ayodhya’s Ram temple, as per official statements. Tahar Singh and Omprakash Mishra were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force from the Vibhuti Khand area of Gomti Nagar in Lucknow. The statement noted that the two individuals, using the handle ‘@iDevendraOffice,’ had made threats against Adityanath, STF chief Amitabh Yash, and Ayodhya’s Ram temple in a post on ‘X’ in November.
The initial investigation revealed that the threat posts were sent using the email IDs ‘alamansarikhan608@gmail.com’ and ‘zubairkhanisi199@gmail.com.’ Further technical analysis indicated that Tahar Singh created the email accounts, and Omprakash Mishra was responsible for sending the threat messages. Both Singh and Mishra, residents of Gonda who work in a paramedical institute, are currently under investigation by the STF.
