Spinach Paratha Recipe:
Ingredients:
– 2 cups whole wheat flour
– 1 cup finely chopped spinach (palak)
– 1 finely chopped green chili (optional)
– 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
– 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
– Salt to taste
– Water for kneading
– Ghee or oil for cooking
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
– In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chopped spinach, green chili (if using), cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
– Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a smooth dough. Allow it to rest for 15-20 minutes.
2. Divide and Roll:
– Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Take one ball at a time and roll it into a round disc using a rolling pin.
3. Cooking the Parathas:
– Heat a griddle or tawa on medium-high heat.
– Place the rolled paratha on the hot griddle and cook until bubbles appear on the surface.
– Flip the paratha and apply ghee or oil on the cooked side.
– Cook until both sides are golden brown and well-cooked.
4. Serve:
– Remove from the griddle and repeat the process for the remaining dough balls.
– Serve the palak parathas hot with yogurt, pickle, or any desired accompaniment.
