Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire is earning moolah at the box office since the release

Since its release, the action thriller “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” featuring Prabhas in the lead role and directed by Prashanth Neel, has been a box office success. The film opened with a domestic net collection of Rs 90 crore (Rs 900 million) and has maintained its popularity, competing with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.”

On its 13th day, “Salaar: Ceasefire” surpassed the Rs 650 crore (Rs 6.5 billion) mark worldwide, marking it as the third highest-grossing Telugu film after SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2” and “RRR.” The film has exceeded the lifetime gross of Rajnikanth’s “Jailer” and “Baahubali.”

Trade Analyst Manobala Vijaybalan noted on social media, ”#SalaarCeaseFire ZOOMS past ?6??5??0?? cr gross mark at the WW Box Office. #Salaar BEATS #Baahubali and #Jailer lifetime figure of ?650 cr to become the 5th highest-grossing film from South after #2Point0, #KGFChapter2, #RRRMovie and #Baahubali2.”

The film earned approximately Rs 5.25 crore (Rs 52.5 million) in India net, bringing the total collection to Rs 368.32 crore (Rs 3.6 crore) in India. As of January 3rd, the movie still maintained an overall 17.97% Telugu occupancy.

“Salaar” marks a significant comeback for Prabhas after consecutive flops with films like “Adipurush” and “Radhe Shyam.” Directed by Nag Ashwin, Prabhas’ next project is “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.

Reviewing “Salaar: Part 1,” WION’s Pragati Awasthi praised the film’s production design, cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, and Neel’s direction. While noting the storyline’s occasional juvenile aspects, Awasthi highlighted Neel’s ability to make the film stand out, with the movie maintaining a high level of brutal violence, bloodshed, and action.
