2 coaches of express train derail near Kota Junction

Kota: Two coaches of  the Jodhpur-Bhopal express train has been derailed near Kota Junction in Rajasthan. There was no immediate report of any injuries  or  casualties.

As per the railway officials, two coaches of train no 14813, Jodhpur-Bhopal Express got derailed in the yard of Kota Junction. Following the incident, officials reached the spot and started the rescue  work.

The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Kota division also released emergency helpline numbers for passengers.

Earlier in December 2023, an empty train derailed in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. There were no injuries were reported in the accident. The incident happened at Bikaner’s Lalgarh railway station.

Earlier in last year,  the Coromandel Express had derailed near the Bahanaga Baazar station in Balasore, Odisha and then collided with the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express which also got derailed. More than  230 people were killed and around 900 injured in this accident.

In another news, four people have died after Benapole Express Train, an intercity train caught fire in Gopibagh, Bangladesh. As per reports, miscreants set at least five train compartments on fire.
