ESA’s experts, collaborating from the United Kingdom and Germany, unveiled a crucial aspect of their endeavor – the use of terrestrial rock samples sourced from a mine in Greenland. “To do this, we needed rock samples with similar properties to materials found on the Moon. Some of our experts from the LUNA and VULCAN facilities recently traveled to Greenland, to start a collaboration with a mine that will provide us with anorthosite, an igneous, light-colored rock that has similar properties to material found on the Moon,” revealed the video caption.
