Earl Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, has disclosed that he endured sexual abuse while attending boarding school. He revealed this unsettling revelation in his memoir, detailing his experiences at Maidwell Hall in Northamptonshire during the 1970s.
The Daily Mail published excerpts from his memoir, where Spencer, now 59, recounted that the abuse commenced when he was just 11 years old. Maidwell Hall responded to these revelations, expressing their concern and stating that allegations of sexual abuse had been forwarded to the appropriate authorities. Earl Spencer attended Maidwell Hall from the ages of eight to 13.
In his memoir titled “A Very Private School,” he alleged that a female staff member groomed and exploited him and other boys in their dormitory beds during the night, describing her as a “voracious paedophile.” He mentioned that he had determined the employee’s current whereabouts, noting that she either resides abroad or has passed away.
Additionally, Earl Spencer accused the school’s former headmaster, John Porch, of subjecting him to “brutal beatings,” suggesting that the teacher derived “sexual pleasure from the violence.”
