Several news agencies remove the first official photo released post-surgery of Princess Kate Middleton

Numerous news agencies, such as the Associated Press and AFP, eliminated the initial official photograph of Britain’s Princess Kate Middleton from their offerings on Sunday (March 10), citing suspicions of potential manipulation.

The 42-year-old princess, married to Prince William, the future king of Britain, has predominantly been recuperating at their residence in Windsor, located to the west of London, since departing the hospital on January 29.

The picture, disseminated by Kensington Palace to commemorate Mother’s Day in Britain, depicts the cheerful Duchess of Cambridge seated on a garden chair. She adorns jeans, a sweater, and a dark jacket, encircled by her three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Accompanying the photograph on the social media platform X was a message expressing gratitude for the well-wishes and ongoing support received over the past two months. The message, signed “C” for Catherine, extended Mother’s Day greetings to all.

In response to queries about the photo’s origin, the palace affirmed that it was captured “in Windsor earlier this week” by Kate’s spouse, Prince William. Nonetheless, several news agencies, including AFP, subsequently retracted the image due to apprehensions regarding potential alterations.

This family portrait marked the maiden official release of Kate’s photograph by the royal family since her hospitalization on January 16.

The last public sighting of Kate occurred during a Christmas Day stroll in Sandringham, situated in eastern England. Following this, the UK media refrained from publishing images taken by TMZ near Windsor Castle in March, depicting Kate alongside her mother in a car. Speculation surrounding Kate’s absence surfaced on social media, despite Kensington Palace’s announcement that she would not resume public duties until after Easter.
