All VIP passes for the Ayodhya Ram Temple have been canceled until April 18, according to a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, citing the expected surge in devotees during the Ram Navami festival. Anil Mishra, a temple trust member, highlighted the significance of this Ram Navami, being the first after the consecration ceremony, anticipating a large turnout of devotees. In response, the trust issued new guidelines to ensure smooth darshan for all devotees, deciding to suspend VIP and VVIP darshan from April 15 to 18.
Champat Rai, the trust’s general secretary, confirmed the cancellation of bookings for all special passes and emphasized that all visitors will follow the same route for darshan. Additionally, darshan timings have been extended until 11 pm, with brief intervals for the offering of ‘bhog’. Rai urged distinguished dignitaries to defer their darshan until after April 19 and outlined arrangements for devotees to queue up from 3.30 am on Ram Navami.
Further arrangements include the broadcasting of Ram Janmotsav on approximately 100 large LED screens and the establishment of a railway reservation unit at the passenger convenience center on Darshan Marg. Rai advised visitors against bringing mobile phones to avoid inconvenience and time wastage. These measures aim to streamline the darshan experience and accommodate the expected influx of devotees during the festival.
