The Indian Army has announced plans to conduct 96 recruitment rallies nationwide as part of the Agnipath scheme, aiming to enlist approximately 40,000 Agniveers. Notably, 11 of these rallies are specifically designated for the selection of women Agniveers into the Corps of Military Police, highlighting a focus on gender inclusivity within the force.
In addition to the physical rallies, the Army has scheduled an online combined entrance examination at 174 locations across the country. The examination window is set from April 22 to May 7, 2024, and is expected to see participation from a record-breaking 12,80,000 registered candidates, signaling significant interest among youth in pursuing careers in the armed forces.
The recruitment drive aims to attract skilled and motivated individuals who can contribute effectively to national security. With extensive testing locations and a large number of rallies, the Army is emphasizing accessibility and fairness in the recruitment process, reflecting its commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for aspiring candidates.
