The trial run aims to address the scarcity of trains on the modernized and electrified Pollachi route, providing a boost to connectivity in the region.
The Udaya Express (No. 22665/66) is slated to commence its trial journey from Coimbatore at 8 am on Wednesday, with an expected arrival at Palakkad Town at 10:45 am and Palakkad Junction at 11:05 am. The return leg is scheduled for 11:35 am, reaching Coimbatore at 2:40 pm, thereby concluding the trial run. This decision to conduct the trial run on Wednesday was deliberate, as the Uday Express does not typically operate on this day. The Southern Railway’s Salem and Palakkad divisions are collaborating to execute the trial run smoothly.
