Mother and child found dead in Thrissur river

Krishnapriya (24) and her 1.5-year-old daughter, Poojitha, who were reported missing in Thrissur, were tragically discovered deceased in the Palazhi river. Their identification documents were retrieved by the authorities. The woman, employed at a medical shop in Kanjany, left her home around 2 pm on Monday, allegedly to visit her husband’s residence with her child.

Concerned about their absence, Krishnapriya’s husband, Akhil, lodged a complaint with the police. The bodies were subsequently found near the river the following morning, with Krishnapriya’s ID card found in a nearby bag. Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths. A rescue team has been dispatched to retrieve the bodies for further examination and processing.
