Paris Olympics 2024: State-wise distribution of 117-member Indian contingent

Paris: The Paris Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11. More than  10,500 athletes will participate in the mega sports event.  Around 206 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are expected to participate, along with ‘Individual Neutral Athletes’ and the Refugee Olympic Team.

A total of 117 Indian athletes, comprising 70 males and 47 females will compete at the Paris Olympics this year.  India will kick off its Olympic campaign with the individual archery ranking rounds on July 25. India will conclude its participation on August 11, the final day, with Reetika Hooda fighting for a medal in the women’s 76kg event.

In the last Olympic Games, held in Tokyo in 2021, Team India returned with 7 medals, with Neeraj Chopra’s gold in men’s javelin throw.
