Yash Raj Films (YRF) has announced its upcoming movie *Alpha*, the first female-led film in its popular Spy Universe, set to release in theaters on December 25, 2025. Starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, *Alpha* will be directed by Shiv Rawail, known for his work on YRF’s Netflix series *The Railway Men*. YRF shared the news on Instagram, building excitement for what promises to be an action-packed holiday season.
The YRF Spy Universe, which started in 2012 with *Ek Tha Tiger* starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, has grown into a successful franchise with multiple blockbuster films. These include *Tiger Zinda Hai* (2017), *War* (2019) featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, and *Pathaan* (2023) starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. With *Alpha*, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari will join this prestigious lineup of spy thrillers.
YRF has several other highly anticipated projects in the works, including *War 2* with Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr, *Pathaan 2* starring Shah Rukh Khan, and *Tiger vs Pathaan*, which will feature both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. These upcoming films are expected to further solidify YRF’s Spy Universe as a dominant force in Indian cinema.
