Mumbai: Leading motorcyle maker Suzuki has launched a middle-weight sportbike named GSX-8R in the Indian markets. The vehicle has been released at the starting price of Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has offered the motorcycle in three colour options – Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Matte Black No.2. It can be purchased via authorised dealerships nationwide.
It comes with a hexagonal LED headlamp, a decent-sized windscreen and cowling, and has been treated with a split seating arrangement. It also has incline riding position and clip-on handlebar. The motorcyle also has received a sharp-looking fairing on either side, featuring bold graphics in a red and black colour combination.

The motorcycle features traction control, low rpm assist, easy start, and 5-inch digital instrument console that provides all the bike-related information. It is powered by a 776cc, parallel-twin engine, generating a maximum power of 82 BHP at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike weighs 205 kg and has a 14 litre fuel tank.
