Sortly after the arrival of US Defense Secretary James Mattis in Kabul, a slew of rockets were in the air targeting the Kabul airport. Mattis arrived in the Afghan capital for talks with government leadership
So far, no casualties have been reported in the attack.
“A rocket landed near the airport this morning. No casualties reported,” Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said in a tweet. However, reports later said a number of rockets landed at the Kabul airport.
Local media reports say flights have been canceled and the airport is being evacuated. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
