Pakistan’s founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s only child passes away.
Dina Wadia passed away on 2nd November 2017, in her New York residence. She was suffering from pneumonia.
The only child of the Jinnahs, Dina was born on August 15, 1919.
Dina’s relationship with her father had fallen apart when she chooses to marry a Parsi, Neville Wadia. After Pakistan’s Independence in 1947 August 14, Dina opted for an Indian citizenship.
Dina first visited Pakistan in 1948 when her father passed away. The second trip was in 2004 when she paid her respects at her father’s mausoleum in Karachi, which was a difficult experience for her.
Dian’s son, Nusli Wadia is a successful Indian businessman and also one of the most prominent members of the Parsi community.
