A 14-year-old teenager succumbed to death after getting shocked from faulty iPhone charger in Hanoi, Vietnam. The girl Thi Xoan was sleeping and rolled on to the charger while it’s turned on.
Apparently, the charger cable was damaged and torn and was temporarily repaired with a tape. According to Police in Hanoi, Vietnam, the girl was exposed to the burnt cable on her bed and a slight tear in the rubber casing may have revealed the live wires inside.
According to Police, the girl was found unconscious by her parents who rushed to a local hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. A preliminary investigation says that some of the live wires are exposed while she rolled on to it.
However, a picture of the burnt cable shows the wire to be shorter than Apple’s original 20-inch charging cable. It also shows a transparent tape wrapped around the front of the cable.
