Madhya Pradesh High Court has declared Nina Verma’s election as a BJP candidate from Dhar constituency on Monday in the Assembly elections of 2013. Along with this, he became the first female leader of the political history of the state, whose election was canceled by the court for two separate reasons in the two consecutive terms as a legislator from the same seat.
Judge Alok Verma of Indore bench of the High Court, passed this important decision on the petition filed with Nina’s electoral nomination papers for allegations of incomplete khanpuri and other documentary errors.
Nina was immediately relieved from the court
However, shortly after the verdict was pronounced, Nina got immediate relief from the court. On the basis of their application filed under section 116-B of the Public Representation Act, the single bench was asked that an interim stay should be imposed on the decision to declare their election to be declared void because they filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against this decision. There is a need for procrastination. The court, while granting this application, stayed the execution of the decision to declare Nina’s election as zero for 45 days.
