Incredible footage shows the dog leaping into action to defend a woman from a robber.
The video, filmed in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, shows a man in a yellow hoody following a woman walking along the road. The poll stroll past the dog, which is believed to be a stray.
As soon as the man grabs the woman from behind, the dog rushes over to help.
The woman is forced to the ground as the man tries to steal her bag, but he is immediately attacked by the animal.
In the clip, the dog appears to jump up and bite the man’s buttocks, causing him to abandon the theft and run away.
Not yet satisfied, the dog chases the man away, giving him one final bite at the ankle as the man races out of shot.
The video was posted on the Facebook group Podgoricki Vremeplov, a group for people living in the city. People were full of praise for the animal, including one man who posted a photo of a dog with the caption: ‘Hero of the day.’
No more proof is needed that dogs are amazing.
