Sidharth Nath Singh,Uttar Pradesh health minister on Saturday said that Trinamool Congress will be making a mistake by getting into an alliance with Samajwadi Party. Singh, who earlier was BJP’s affairs in charge in Bengal, claimed that TMC will start feeling the heat in the Panchayat elections.

“Samajwadi Party has been wiped off from UP. We have secured more seats in the Uttar Pradesh civic polls. Now he (Akhilesh Yadav) is trying to mislead the people in Bengal, “Singh said while reacting to the meeting between Yadav and Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee.

“We have won the civic polls in UP without a gunshot or a bomb being hurled. It has been a peaceful election this time. Significantly, these civic bodies have a large chunk of voters who are small and medium traders. It shows that opposition campaign regarding GST has not been successful,” he said.
Supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday took it to the streets protesting against an attack on BJP’s state president Dilip Ghosh.
