Those you using Dubai International airport have been warned to arrive extra early to avoid unnecessary hassle when departing for your holidays.
The airport is already known to be the busiest in the world, but on June 24 and 25 passengers have been advised to arrive with good time to spare in case of any surprises.
A statement treads: “On the busiest days, June 25 and 26, more than 75,000 passengers will be departing from the airport.
“With this in mind, the airport operator is encouraging passengers to complete as many processes as possible before they get to the airport including online check-in and registering for flight updates on the airport’s website.”
It comes as many school across the country prepare to close for the summer break and not only will families living in Dubai use the airport to escape to likely cooler climates, but many of the other emirates will use the location as a departure point.
Dubai Airports prediction has been calculated by the people traffic passing through in April 2015 compared to April 2014.
With numbers increasing from 6.16 million to 6.5 million, it’s calculated as a 5.17 percent increase. Extra staff will be on hand to help those jetting off have a smoother process up until boarding the plane.
“We are again expecting record traffic levels at Dubai International this summer and again we will be deploying additional resources from the kerb to the boarding gates to ease the flow of passengers through our facility,” CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths said.
Eugene Barry, EVP Commercial Group at Dubai Airports explained that those heading out of Dubai should make use of their online services and take advantage of the in-airport facilities once they arrive early, instead of feeling pushed for time and flustered.
“With many passengers leaving Dubai on vacation at this time, we want to ensure that everyone’s experience is as stress-free as possible,” he added.
“By arriving to the airport early, utilising the online check in facility offered by airlines, or using our website to track their flight, we would like to get passengers through their travel formalities and to the departure areas as smoothly as possible, where they can enjoy our wide range of international food & beverage, world-class retail, lounges, and spa services, and be in a great mood to begin their journey.”
