Everyone knows what Sahara is. It is The hottest desert in the world. But to everyone’s surprise, the hot dunes got filled with snow once again.
Africa’s much-famous Sahara can see the average high temperature exceed 104.0 degrees Fahrenheit during the hottest month. Then again, in winters, it can see snow drizzle in too.
According to reports, the last heaviest snowfall in Sahara was in 1979. After which it was in 2016 that there was snowfall in the desert.January 2017 also saw snowfall.

This year, some parts of the Sahara received more than 40 centimetres of snow, while others got the light dusting.

Meteorologists believe that this freaky twist of weather is because of the result of high pressure over Europe pushing low-pressure systems unusually far south.
