This is how these famous personalities protested against gun violence

Students are set to march down the streets, raising their protests against the existing gun laws and regulations, demanding a change in them.

It is not only the students who have shown their displeasure but these famous personalities as well.

And this is how they reacted.

George and Amal Clooney are so moved by the activism of teen survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School massacre that they have vowed to both attend the students’ planned anti-gun violence demonstration in Washington, D.C., and to help fund the “groundbreaking event”.

With the pledge, actor George Clooney and international human rights attorney Amal Clooney join other celebrities in showing support for the March for Our Lives rally and cause.

In a statement, the couple said they were “so inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women” from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

“Our family will be there on March 24 to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country,” the Clooneys said. “And in the name of our children, Ella and Alexander, we’re donating 500,000 dollars to help pay for this groundbreaking event.”

“Our children’s lives depend on it,” they added.

Stan Rosenfield, a spokesman for Mr. Clooney, said the couple’s donation on Tuesday was made by them personally and did not come from their foundation.

On March 24, students plan “to take to the streets” of Washington, D.C., “to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today.”

The march was announced by five teenagers who survived the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., last week that left 17 people dead.

After the Clooneys made their announcement, other Hollywood leaders said they would match their donation to help the March for Our Lives, including the producer Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife, Marilyn, Oprah Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw.
